"30 Days of Gratitude" ~ Day 22 ~ Parents

Funny how some of my biggest childhood frustrations became some of my favorite things about my parents.  I really do have creative parents.  They challenged me to do without. They challenged me to find substitutions.  They challenged me to enjoy different childhood pursuits.  They provided real fun games.  They helped me to understand how important it is to try one's best.  At 8, these lessons were a bit trying. ;-)  At 40-something, these lessons are invaluable.  I am thankful.
