"30 Days of Gratitude" ~ Day 19 ~ Literature or Film

Oddly, I am truly thankful for the World According to Garp.  The way that John Irving captures the beauty in his character's faults is moving.  He takes the most farcical, most devastating situations and finds a way for his deeply flawed characters to find meaning and hope in life.  This seems a pretty thankful way to live.
